SureCall 400 plenum coax cable 500 foot spool (SC-PL-500). This is a spool of unterminated bulk cable. The insulation on SureCall’s plenum-rated cable has low smoke and low flame characteristics. Because of these special characteristics, plenum cable tends to be much more expensive than standard cable.
Most large buildings require plenum rated cable because they use the ceiling space for returning air to the AC unit. So you are supposed to use plenum cable in buildings that use this ceiling space, or plenum for return air flow.
