This allows less signal loss out of one port and ensures that the next broadcast antenna down the line receives adequate signal. Couplers come in -6 dB and -10 dB options.

SureCall Wide Band 6 dB Coupler
The SureCall Wide Band 6 dB Coupler is used to place multiple broadcast antennas in a long line. This component unevenly distributes the signal coming into and out of the coupler with low-loss. This allows less signal loss out of one port and ensures that the next broadcast antenna down the line receives adequate signal. Couplers come in -6 dB and -10 dB options.
These would be used in a situation where you had one main trunk cable that you wanted to hook up to multiple antennas. A regular splitter would divide the power by half at each port. So, this device allows you to lose less than half at the tap port. Which allows more power to devices further downstream.
This model (SC-6-C) is a -6 db tap. So there will be -6 db of loss at each tap port (instead of 50%).
